Six Ravens Celebrates Saturday. I’m Craving the Grilled Cheese.

Six Ravens has a celebration coming up, and I already have my order in mind. The grilled cheese. Again.

The Disney Springs spot is holding its Grand Opening Congregation on Saturday, October 17, 2026, starting at 10 a.m., according to WDWNT’s October 13 report quoting the restaurant’s announcement. The celebration includes a collectible pin with purchase, with promotional extras available while supplies last.

This is the formal celebration following its soft opening, so you do not have to wait until Saturday to discover the food.

My advice: eat it hot, and use the sauce

I’ve eaten at Six Ravens, and the hand pies taste amazing. But here is the part I would not skip: eat yours while it is hot, and don’t forget the sauce. The sauce takes it over the top.

My favorite is the grilled cheese. I crave it. A collectible pin is a fun reason to stop by, but that grilled cheese is my reason to come back.

    What are these hand pies?

Disney’s official Six Ravens listing describes the savory creations as “Coffyns,” with sandwich fillings enclosed in a house-made yeast roll. The quick-service restaurant comes from the creators of Gideon’s Bakehouse and also serves potato sides and dessert tarts.

    Before you head over Saturday

    • When: Saturday, October 17, starting at 10 a.m.
    • Where: Six Ravens at Disney Springs.
    • The collectible: A pin with purchase, subject to availability. Do not count on promotional items lasting all day.
    • The crown: The announcement also teases a crown, but distribution details are not yet clear.

Check the restaurant’s latest announcements before making a special trip. Event details above are attributed to the published report; my food recommendation comes from eating there.

Building an evening around your food stop? Here is my perfect Disney Springs evening for a little extra enabling.

Which gets you first: the hand pie or the dipping sauce?

  • Where to Eat at Hollywood Studios When You Want a Break

Where to Eat at Hollywood Studios When You Want a Break

At some point during a Hollywood Studios day, the next thing on the itinerary needs to be sitting down and eating something.

My personal pick starts with a giant pretzel and two cheese sauces. But a snack stop and a full meal solve different problems. Here are three options to consider, depending on what your group needs.

BaseLine Tap House: my pretzel-and-beer stop

The pretzel is huge and fresh, and I get two cheese sauces. Add beer on tap and you understand why this one made my Disney carbs list.

Disney calls it a Bavarian pretzel and describes mustard and beer-cheese fondue alongside it. My extra sauce is my order, not a promise that two are included. Ask about availability and any additional charge when ordering.

BaseLine is a bar-lounge on Grand Avenue with small bites, California beers and nonalcoholic choices. Disney also describes a shaded outdoor terrace. Think snack-and-sip pause rather than assuming a full restaurant menu or guaranteed seating. Check BaseLine’s current menu.

ABC Commissary: when the group needs a meal

ABC Commissary is a quick-service option on Commissary Lane, and Disney lists mobile ordering. That makes it worth checking when you need to organize a meal around the rest of your park day.

This is a researched option, not a new tasting review from me. Look through the current menu with your group before committing, especially if everyone wants something different. Mobile ordering helps with ordering; it does not reserve your table. See ABC Commissary’s menu and details.

Docking Bay 7: keep your food stop in Batuu

If you are already exploring Galaxy’s Edge, Docking Bay 7 Food and Cargo is another quick-service meal option with mobile ordering. Disney describes seating inside the cargo hangar and in an outdoor courtyard.

It is a practical place to investigate before crossing the park just for lunch. I am not ranking its dishes here or claiming a recent meal. Check the menu, available pickup times and seating conditions on the day. See Docking Bay 7’s official information.

Choose the break before choosing the food

    • Snack and a drink: start by looking at BaseLine.
    • A quick-service meal around Commissary Lane: check ABC Commissary.
    • A meal while exploring Galaxy’s Edge: check Docking Bay 7.

All three are inside Hollywood Studios, so valid admission is required and a park reservation may be needed depending on your ticket. Check current hours and menus in My Disney Experience. None of these suggestions guarantees a quiet table during a busy lunch rush.

What is your Hollywood Studios reset stop? And if your answer involves an extra cheese sauce, we already understand each other.

  • Halloween Calories Don’t Count: Our Disney World Snack Watch List

Halloween Calories Don’t Count: Our Disney World Snack Watch List

Halloween calories don’t count. That is our completely unofficial position, and we are sticking to it.

Disney published its 2026 Halloween food guide on September 24, and our snack plans suddenly need more room. This is a menu watch list, not a taste-tested ranking. Here are a few treats that caught our attention.

    Start with something pumpkin

The Pumpkin Sundae at Plaza Ice Cream Parlor brings together pumpkin gelato, spiced caramel, brittle, and festive sprinkles. Disney lists it for regular park hours as well as Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party.

Pumpkin and caramel together? That is a convincing argument for leaving a little room after lunch.

A little drama with your dessert

Also on the list: the Maleficent Funnel Cake at Epic Eats, the Boneyard Cookies and Scream Sundae at Terra Treats, and the returning Ghost Cream Puff at ABC Commissary and Backlot Express.

Our approach is simple: pick the one you actually want, enjoy it, and leave the competitive snack marathon to somebody else. Unless your group wants to share. Sharing is how a watch list becomes a strategy.

Check the details before chasing a snack

The guide covers Halloween offerings through October 31. Check each item’s location and availability before visiting. A guide published this week does not mean every treat debuted this week, and party access is separate from regular park admission.

Read Disney’s official Halloween food guide for the full lineup. Prefer your snacks with a Springs evening? Start with my shopping, dinner, and dessert itinerary.

Which are you ordering first: pumpkin sundae, funnel cake, or ghost cream puff? Tell us in the comments.

  • Dinner Near Disney Springs? The Turf Club Is Making Its Comeback

Dinner Near Disney Springs? The Turf Club Is Making Its Comeback

A Disney Springs evening gives us plenty of dinner decisions already. Now a restaurant at neighboring Saratoga Springs is heading back into the conversation.

The Turf Club Bar and Grill reopens September 30, 2026. Disney announced the date and shared its reopening menu on September 23. This is the restaurant at Disney’s Saratoga Springs Resort & Spa, not a restaurant inside Disney Springs.

A few dishes to put on your radar

Disney’s preview includes Slow-roasted Prime Rib with a baked potato and vegetables, plus Braised Pork Shank paired with cheddar grits and a bacon-bourbon glaze. There is also a plant-based linguini with spinach and mushrooms.

For dessert, the Salted Caramel Pot de Crème comes with vanilla panna cotta, pecan crunch, and citrus shortbread. Salted caramel is a pretty effective way to get our attention around here.

You can browse the full food and drink lineup in Disney’s official reopening announcement. The announcement does not list prices, so we are saving the value verdict for when we can compare the current menu and the actual experience.

Where it fits into a Springs evening

Think of this as another option to consider when putting together a resort-and-Springs night. Dinner at Saratoga Springs and time at Disney Springs are two separate stops, so leave room in your plans for getting between them.

Before setting your evening around it, check the restaurant’s official page for reservations, hours, and current menu details. A reopening announcement does not guarantee a table.

    The NRDA take

A menu preview is an invitation to be curious. It is not enough to declare a restaurant a new favorite. We have not tried this reopening menu, and this article is a news preview, not a dining review.

For now, the question is simple: would you build an evening around a resort dinner, or keep every stop inside Springs? If you want Alan’s current ideal lineup, start with My Perfect Disney Springs Evening.

  • Three Disney World Carbs I’d Happily Buy Again

Three Disney World Carbs I’d Happily Buy Again

Some people have a must-do ride list. I also have a must-eat carb list.

These three have earned their place on it. We’re starting at Magic Kingdom, heading to Hollywood Studios, and finishing at Disney Springs. This is a favorites list, not a challenge to eat all three in one day. Although I admire the ambition.

Looking for a full Springs dinner to pair with dessert? See what’s on the menu at the Turf Club’s comeback.

Tony’s Garlic Bread For The Table

Tony’s Town Square Restaurant · Magic Kingdom

The garlic bread is only part of the story. What gets me is the creamy sauce you pour over it. Disney’s menu calls it Parmesan Fonduta, served with ciabatta and roasted garlic butter.

    Heavenly. That’s the word.

Bread, garlic, and then more creamy goodness poured on top. This is exactly the kind of appetizer I’m happy to make room for.

My verdict: Worth the calories. Pour the sauce.

Bavarian Pretzel at BaseLine Tap House

    Disney’s Hollywood Studios

The pretzel is huge and fresh, and the cheese sauce is a big part of why I love it. On the menu, it’s a Bavarian Pretzel with beer-cheese fondue and spicy mustard.

I get two of the cheese sauces. That’s important information, and I stand by it.

Add a beer on tap, and you’ve got one of my favorite food stops at Hollywood Studios. Sometimes a big pretzel, enough cheese sauce, and a beer are all the planning you need.

My verdict: Worth the calories. Get the extra cheese.

Bread Pudding at House of Blues

    Disney Springs

I remembered it as caramel sauce. The current House of Blues menu calls it toffee sauce and lists bourbon butter, too. Either way, I could bathe in that sauce.

I won’t. House of Blues probably has rules about that.

But that should tell you where I stand. This is the dessert I’m thinking about when someone asks whether we should get something sweet at Disney Springs.

My verdict: Worth the calories. Absolutely worth the sauce.

    Your turn

Those are three carbs I’d happily buy again. No complicated scoring system. Just food I’ve enjoyed enough to want another round.
