A Disney Springs shopping budget needs one extra check: will your chosen store accept the payment you brought?
WDWNT reported on October 16 that LEGO, Sephora and Vuori do not accept Disney Gift Cards, Disney Rewards redemption cards or Disney resort room charges. Its report describes checkout signs at LEGO and follows earlier reporting about Zara and Vera Bradley.
These are reported changes at specific retailers, not a Disney Springs-wide ban. NRDA has not independently confirmed each store’s current policy.
Before you head to the register
- Ask your intended store which payment methods it currently accepts.
- Confirm before adding money to a gift card for a particular purchase.
- Bring another payment method so a checkout surprise does not derail your plans.
Keep gift cards, Disney Rewards redemption cards and resort room charging separate when asking. Acceptance of one does not establish acceptance of another.
