Disney’s Next Bay Lake Nightcap: Meet Branch & Brush

A Bay Lake view and somewhere to settle in after a park day? That has our attention.

Disney has revealed Branch & Brush, a lounge planned for Disney’s Lakeshore Lodge. The October 1 preview promises cocktails, lake views and a chandelier whose colors reflect the seasons. It is a first look, not an opening or a dining review.

One to put on the resort list

Lakeshore Lodge is scheduled to open July 1, 2027. The new lounge gives us another reason to follow the resort beyond its rooms. For NRDA, an evening outside the parks deserves just as much attention as the next attraction.

    Booking dates to know

    • October 6: Disney Vacation Club members can make early rental reservations through Member Services.
    • October 7: Annual Passholders get early rental reservations by phone.
    • October 8: Reservations open to all guests online or by phone.

These are hotel booking dates, not lounge reservations. Disney’s preview does not provide a cocktail menu, prices or lounge hours.

See the concept art and booking details in Disney’s official Lakeshore Lodge update.

Until then, there is always my ideal Disney Springs evening to plan.

What makes your perfect Disney lounge: the view, the drinks or the atmosphere?

Motown or ’80s Night? Your BoardWalk Plans Just Got More Specific.

Some people plan their Disney nights around fireworks. Others plan around dinner. We may need a third category: whatever night has the music we want to sing along to.

Hurly-Burly opens at Disney’s BoardWalk on October 1, 2026, and early previews are giving us a better idea of its musical personality. Think Motown, ’80s favorites, and a rotating lineup that could give each visit a different soundtrack.

Meet the music, with one scheduling caveat

In its September 25 media-preview report, MickeyBlog described Velvet Soul’s Motown sound and Velvet Neon’s ’80s selections. It also named Sia and the Tin Pan Alley Band and American Siren among the planned acts.

WDWNT’s preview coverage, updated September 26, independently lists those performers, plus a Top 40 band, and notes that an official schedule has not been released.

That distinction matters. Early reports disagree about some weekday assignments, so we are not treating them as a confirmed calendar. Pick your musical mood now, but confirm the performer for your date before building an entire evening around it.

The time to remember is 9 p.m.

Disney’s official venue listing confirms that families are welcome before 9 p.m. Starting at 9 p.m., the lounge is for guests ages 21 and older with valid photo identification. Disney also confirms that the musical genres will change nightly.

For a grown-up Disney evening, that gives you a simple starting point: dinner, a BoardWalk stroll, then music. If you are bringing children, plan for the earlier family portion instead.

And yes, there are snacks involved

Disney’s September 1 opening announcement and menu preview lists Roast Beef Sliders and Mini Apple Cider Doughnuts among the offerings. The venue will be walk-up only, with no reservations required. That does not guarantee immediate seating, so leave some breathing room in your plans.

This is a preview of announced offerings and independent media reports, not an NRDA visit or food review. We will save the taste verdicts for the actual tasting.

For the bigger picture, catch up on what is changing about a BoardWalk night out. More of a Springs person? Here is Alan’s perfect Disney Springs evening.

Your turn: Motown, ’80s, or whichever band keeps you out past your sensible bedtime?

  • Your Next BoardWalk Night Out Is Going to Look Different

Your Next BoardWalk Night Out Is Going to Look Different

A Disney night does not have to end when the park gates close. But if your evening plans include the BoardWalk, there is a change worth knowing before your next visit.

Beginning October 1, 2026, Atlantic Dance Hall will end its regular weekend operations. Hurly-Burly is scheduled to open at the BoardWalk that same day. Here is what Disney has confirmed, and what it means for your next night out.

Atlantic Dance Hall is ending regular weekend nights

Disney’s official Atlantic Dance Hall page now says regular weekend operations will end beginning October 1. The venue will remain available for private events through Disney Meetings & Events and Disney Fairy Tale Weddings.

That distinction matters. The building is not being announced as demolished or replaced. What is changing is the option to include its regular public dance nights in your BoardWalk plans. Disney’s notice does not give a reason for the change.

Hurly-Burly brings a different kind of evening

In its September 1 announcement, Disney set Hurly-Burly’s opening for October 1, 2026. The new venue will offer family-friendly afternoon trivia and games, followed by live music for guests ages 21 and older beginning at 9 p.m.

The announced menu includes Mini Pretzels with Bacon-Cheese Fondue and Meatballs in Tomato Gravy, alongside cocktails and other drinks. Pretzels and cheese have our attention. Whether the whole evening earns a spot in our regular rotation is something to decide after a visit.

What to know before you go

    • Check the date. October 1 is the announced opening for Hurly-Burly and the effective date of Atlantic Dance Hall’s change.
    • Plan around your group. Hurly-Burly’s afternoon activities include families. The live music portion beginning at 9 p.m. is for ages 21 and older.
    • Check the latest details before heading over. Confirm operating hours, entry requirements, and any cover charge with the venue. We are not assuming admission is free.

    The NRDA take

For those of us who enjoy Disney beyond the rides, an evening of music, food, and a walk by the water deserves a place in the conversation. This is exactly why NRDA covers the whole World. Disney Springs is a favorite, but it is not the only place to spend a night without a park ticket.

This is an announcement roundup, not a firsthand review of Hurly-Burly. We will leave the verdict on the food and atmosphere until there is a visit to talk about.
